Business Continuity Planning Methodology
If you need a complete introduction to the topic of Business Continuity Planning, you won't find a better place to start than with Akhtar Sayed's
excellent text.
Not only is this considered the Bible on Business Continuity,
but it includes a full training kit. For someone serious about BCP,
this is the first (and only) book to buy ! | | | |

Business Continuity Planning:
A Step-by-Step Guide with Planning Forms
on CD-ROM
I have to admit -- I like pre-built forms. I find it's easier to learn
a new subject when I can look over real world examples. Too many times after
reading material on a complex subject, I'm left with a blank piece of paper,
and uncertainly where to start. If you're like me, and you learn from
seeing real world examples, you're going to love this book. |

A Primer for Disaster Recovery in an
IT Environment
This book focuses on IT Planning for Disaster Recovery. Since I assume
you're already in the IT industry (otherwise why would you be on this
site?), I felt this would be an important BCP specialty you'd need to know
about. What I particularly liked about this book was it's focus on providing
reasons for Disaster Planning. This is real handy when you're in a
sales meeting, trying to explain why your customer should spend thousands on
your planning services. Quite a few of these justifications will come
in hand for you! |
