Disaster Co-Location Print

For your customers that require greater control over their disaster plan, or more frequent updates than available with HotSite, Carroll-Net offers Disaster Co-Location. They can store servers in our Datacenter

Here's how it works:

  • You build a server for your customer and deliver it to Carroll-Net.
  • The server will be installed in our secure, high availability datacenter.
  • You can login to the server regularly, and perform testing and upgrades as you require.

The grade of Co-Location is classified as disaster use, meaning it's not intended for daily operation. It’s should be used during periods when your customer's primary office is affected by disaster.

The service includes:

  • 4U Rack Space (UPS power feed)
  • Full T1 Internet, w/ full firewall (connected to Cisco powered backbone)
  • IP Address Space Management (/29 CIDR allocation & reverse DNS)

More space, power and Internet access is available as required

Pricing

Pricing for Disaster Co-Location is $500/month. There is no setup fee and no other charges.

Technology

The technology of Disaster Co-Location is simple. The server belongs to your customer and remains theirs at all times. You can install any software on the system they require. You can login to the server remotely as often as needed and perform patches, upgrades, updates, whatever you think is important to keep the system ready to go in a disaster.

And Disaster activation time is ZERO. It's always active, so there's no need to wait for someone else to activate. Of course if you need our assistance, we're only too eager to help. Just let us know.
